Miranda
I’ve gone from feeling completely lost to feeling positive and in charge of my financial future.
Hi, my name is Miranda Holden. I have been a client at True for about six months, and my adviser is Lottie Kent.
I needed help because I was in the process of a divorce after 35 years, and my husband had dealt with all of the finances. I was pretty clueless, to be honest, so I needed some support and advice.
I chose to work with Lottie because she’s female, and I felt I needed some solidarity. She was young and energetic. Working with Lottie was great; she gave me enormous help with something that I felt very anxious about. And she was just so reassuring and lovely, and that was a huge support to me at a very difficult time.
I feel far more in control now. She explained lots of financial things, and I feel more informed about finance in general, and regarding my own personal situation, I feel far more positive and upbeat about it.
I would describe Lottie as being fun, kind, and helpful.
One of the best things about working with Lottie is that she’s flexible, and she goes at your level; she doesn’t assume any sort of knowledge, so you don’t feel silly asking any questions.
The best piece of advice that Lottie gave me was, “Don’t buy a big house and don’t necessarily put all your money into property. Don’t do things that society is putting pressure on you to do. Really think about how you want to live your life and how you want to spend your money. And if that’s travelling, that’s great.” I think that was the best piece of advice she gave me.
I would definitely recommend Lottie and True to anyone who was in my situation. Someone going through a divorce who perhaps doesn’t know very much about finance. Lottie is hugely supportive, friendly, and really approachable. I think she’s helped me enormously, and she was just great at a very difficult time. So yes, I can recommend her.
