Support during divorce

Rediscover your true self

Divorce is undeniably one of the toughest challenges you can face. Many people think they must navigate the negotiations alone, but that doesn’t have to be the case. Having a support system can make all the difference, and that’s where the True team comes in.

When you first come to us, you might feel scared and unsure and need someone to hold your hand. With our support, you’ll emerge feeling confident, empowered, and excited about what’s next in your life.

Questions you might have

How do I know what I need from my settlement?

How can I maintain my standard of living post-divorce?

How do I know if my settlement will be sufficient?

What income will I need in retirement?

Can I stay in the family home or will I have to move?

How can I protect my settlement and maintenance?

How do I know if my settlement will support me for life?

Here to make things easier

Achieve financial certainty

As part of our mission, we create a financial plan that assesses your current financial situation, any existing pensions, future needs, and possible scenarios. It includes income, expenses, asset and liability analysis, future financial projections, and strategies to identify and manage potential risks.

Increase your confidence

Our clients walk away from our conversations feeling informed. We’ll help you understand the financial side of divorce settlements, make sense of financial statements, and see the long-term impact of different options, giving you the clarity to make confident decisions.

Avoid any costly mistakes

We ensure you gain a clear understanding of all asset values, including complex ones like business interests and pensions. We help you sidestep common pitfalls, such as underestimating future expenses or overlooking hidden liabilities, and we provide a well-informed second opinion.

Understand your settlement needs

We’ll work closely with you (and your solicitor if you have one) to understand your immediate and future financial needs for you and your children. Together, we’ll outline your financial goals and priorities and determine what’s needed from the settlement to achieve them.

Protect your divorce settlement

After all the effort spent securing your settlement, protecting it is essential. We provide strategies to safeguard your settlement against inflation, market fluctuations, and poor financial decisions. This ensures your assets are well-protected and your money is working as hard as possible.

Feel empowered and in control

Nothing brings us more joy than witnessing women transform their mindsets. Our goal is to help you feel in control of your financial future. We achieve this by working together as a team to reach your goals and providing support and guidance tailored to your unique needs.

Working alongside other trusted professionals

We work closely with other divorce professionals to save you from having to repeat yourself at every stage. By bringing together experts who collaborate on your behalf, we ensure that every option is explored and no stone is left unturned. Our goal is to help you move forward with confidence, knowing you’re entering this new chapter in the strongest possible position.

How can I book an initial meeting?

We have developed a two-step process to help you and Lottie learn whether you are right for each other. Initially, please answer the questions here about your circumstances. Then we’ll review your answers and if we feel Lottie might be the right financial expert for you, we’ll arrange a complimentary initial meeting.

Why is financial guidance different for women?

Women tend to face unique financial challenges, such as longer life expectancies, career breaks and wage disparities. We add the most value to women who may not feel financially savvy and need support in understanding their finances and planning for the future. Many of these women have been homemakers, with their husbands serving as the primary breadwinners.

Do I need to be super wealthy to work with a financial expert?

We are dedicated to supporting individuals at all stages and levels of divorce, with expertise tailored to address the unique financial complexities often faced by high-net-worth clients.
