No, True Divorce Consultancy is not regulated by the FCA as we specialise in divorce consultancy, which is an unregulated field. Our sister company True Financial Design, on the other hand, continues to concentrate on providing regulated financial planning advice, adhering to the highest industry standards.

Do you charge VAT?

No, we do not currently charge VAT. If this changes, we will let you know.

Do you do mortgages?

Meetings

Where are meetings held?

We hold meetings via Teams or in our offices in Wetherby or Chichester.

Do you have parking?

Yes, we have onsite parking at our Wetherby office ( LS22 5DZ). For our Chichester office, the nearest short-stay car park is St Cyriac’s (PO19 1AJ). If you require a long-stay car park, you can choose Northgate (PO19 6AA).

Do I have to sign up to your services at the complimentary meeting?

No, the complimentary initial meeting is your opportunity to get to know Lottie and assess whether she’s the right partner for you on your financial journey.

How can I book an initial meeting?

We have developed a two-step process to help you and Lottie learn whether you are right for each other. Initially, please answer the questions here about your circumstances. Then we’ll review your answers and if we feel Lottie might be the right financial expert for you, we’ll arrange a complimentary initial meeting.

What should I bring to my first meeting?

For our first meeting, it’s helpful to bring details about your current financial situation, including income, expenses, savings, debts, and any investment or pension information. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything; our first conversation is designed to understand your goals and how we can help.

Why is financial guidance different for women?

Women tend to face unique financial challenges, such as longer life expectancies, career breaks and wage disparities. We add the most value to women who may not feel financially savvy and need support in understanding their finances and planning for the future. Many of these women have been homemakers, with their husbands serving as the primary breadwinners.

Do I need to be super wealthy to work with a financial expert?

We are dedicated to supporting individuals at all stages and levels of divorce, with expertise tailored to address the unique financial complexities often faced by high-net-worth clients.

How often should I meet with a financial expert?

It depends on your circumstances, but we recommend an annual review to ensure your plan stays on track following your divorce. However, if you experience a major life event, such as a job change, marriage, or birth of a child, we may need to meet more frequently to adjust your financial plan.

Can you help me plan for retirement or build a financial plan?

True Divorce Consultancy is not regulated by the FCA, so we are unable to give financial advice. We offer tailored financial guidance and scenario planning throughout the divorce process. If you need regulated financial advice post-settlement, True Financial Design is here to help you secure your financial future. By keeping these services separate, we ensure specialised support when and where you need it.
